15 Mar What A Week Ahead: March Madness & St Paddy’s Day
Forget chestnuts roasting on an open fire, or the first sip of cider as the leaves turn, March is the most wonderful time of the year. March Madness is on our doorstep once again with the NCAA Tournament tipping off in a couple of days and The Liberty NYC couldn’t be more excited. Cinderella stories, shocking upsets, overtime buzzer beaters and crying over busted brackets, are just some of the fresh ingredients that go into a national cooking pot of one tasty stew. With Uconn hot, Seton Hall sure to beat Gonzaga (yeah we’re calling it) and Long Island’s own Stony Brook University in the tournament for the first time, it’s a meal spiced up with plenty of local flavor.
The Liberty NYC is one of the best spots in town to catch all the action. All games will be shown live on our huge 100 inch projector screens, and with 1st round games starting at 12:15pm and running all the way until after 10pm, there’s no better place to grab lunch, call out sick from work for the rest of the afternoon and watch what promises to be some huge days of collegiate sports. We will have bracket competitions, and lucky door prizes running throughout the day, and hey with St Patrick’s going on as well, why not grab a corned beef sandwich and a pint of Guiness while you’re at it. We can’t wait to see you there.
