The Liberty embodies the spirit of the city she serves - The Liberty to be one’s self, to be unique and to have a fabulous time.
A 4000 square foot bar set over two levels, The Liberty is located on West 35th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues, just steps from Herald Square. The space is elegant but informal with soaring 18ft ceilings. The décor and ambience are inspired by two iconic New York spaces, The Lobby of The Rockerfeller Centre and the now defunct Cloud Club at The Chrysler Building. The space’s focal point and centrepiece is the 34 foot long black granite bar that runs throughout the centre of the space.
The key concept behind the venue; informing it’s décor, product offering, attitude and identity is a marrige of the classic and the contemporary of the City of New York.
The Liberty is inspired by New York’s iconic venues of old, venues where the décor was tasteful and restrained, the barman welcoming and the drinks excellent. Whilst respecting and honoring the city’s heritage, the venue also looks to challenge the now; a layout unlike any other in New York creates a unique and avant garde ambience and challenges the notion of what a Manhattan venue can be.
The Liberty evolves with the people in her. Just as New York is transformed generation to generation by people from all over the world- The Liberty is a symbol of Welcome.
The Liberty - additional to being emblematic of Old World New York, is a place to exercise one’s Liberties. Our mission statement is to show our city a good time!
